About Us
Our mission
YouthVolunteer is a free, independent registry that verifies and permanently records the volunteer service of students in grades 6–12. We exist to give young people a trustworthy, lasting record of the good they do — one that moves with them across schools and years, and that colleges and scholarship committees can cite with confidence.
We believe recognition should be earned through service, not purchased. That is why the registry is free for every student.

Who are we
YouthVolunteer is a program of Lumen Path Foundation, a non-profit public benefit corporation and IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN 88-4035419), and is operated by the Foundation and a team of volunteers.
What we do
- Maintain a free, independent registry of verified volunteer service hours for students in grades 6–12.
- Independently verify every submission through the student's adult supervisor at the host organization — service is certified, not self-reported.
- Keep a permanent record that moves with each student across schools, grade levels and graduation.
- Recognize cumulative service with community awards, with a scholarship for top recipients planned.
- Operate independently of the organizations whose hours we verify — funded by donors so the registry stays free for students.
